digest: 89, 88, 87, 86 and 85 (the uniform project 18).

The digest has been a long time in coming, I know, but today, I'd like to welcome you properly to the March Outfit Digest--and the new OSRTS, now at www.osrts.com. (Don't worry if you've kindly got a link to me; it will redirect.)

I so appreciate all the comments from longtime readers and new ones alike, and I'll be taking your suggestions into consideration as I press on with OSRTS content (look for: more local, shopping and a bit more personal updates). Posts are probably not going to come more than two or three times a week, but I promise I'll make them worth your while when they do.

So today, I give you five outfits from the last month, all in a new larger format on the opposite side of the screen. (The links, by the by, are all the same over there to the right, even if some look a little different.) I'm going to go from latest to oldest, just to keep things concurrent with the normal flow of photos here--and I will return to the Uniform Project. I've just been off, or in other places, for a little while. I hope you don't mind.

Satin blouse: thrifted/knit pencil skirt: vintage/tights: miscellaneous/ruffle T-strap oxfords: Nina kids/plastic rose cocktail ring: miscellaneous.

My new photo wall is very pleased to meet you. My new apartment is bigger, brighter and more open than my old one, so I'm still working out the kinks of taking photos. You'll probably see some inconsistencies in brightness/spacing for a bit while I figure it out. It's all totally worth it, though--remind me to show you my new closet.

Meanwhile, can you believe I got this skirt for 50 cents? I did. It's been a favorite ever since.

Denim dress: F21/belt: vintage/tights: miscellaneous/trench: Delia's/flats: Nordstrom kids.

Floral tunic: vintage/woven belt: miscellaneous/stirrup leggings: Urban Outfitters/print flats: Old Navy kids/trench: Delia's.

The weather here is finally getting nicer--I've been getting a lot of mileage out of my little (and pretty old) red trench, because I'm just refusing to wear socks and heavy coats again until at least October.

Strong shoulder dress: Urban Outfitters/tights: miscellaneous.

One-shoulder dress: American Apparel/blazer: boys/navy tights: miscellaneous/high-tops: Converse.

I was so tired of wearing the same sad pairs of boots all the time last month I drug out the trusty Chucks. I know, I know, they're not made for snow or rain or anything, really, other than a basement show somewhere, but they did make for a refreshing change. What else can I do with these? I'm collecting ideas.

I'm totally questioning the one-shoulder asymmetrical trend in general, as far as it goes for myself, but I LOVE it with a blazer over top! Is the AA dress a recent purchase?

I think you'd look fab in this AA dress, Diane--really. I worry about the one-shoulder largely because I fear it'll slip down or fit oddly around the bust, but this one is nice and snug. I've had this blue version and a black version of the AA dress for a while now; I'd just never worn the blue one (I remember buying it specifically after getting back from Canada, though--I bought it for a breakup, but then I wore something else). :)
